Once upon a time in a year not so long ago before the advent of youtube, myspace, and facebook there lived a dream. The dream remained just that...until now.

One late evening back in 2000, my cousin and I were enjoying some herbal remedies and found ourselves watching shameless home videos, weird shorts, and animation films. Most of the videos where from my personal VHS collection and although the quality was crap - we found them quite interesting (this may of had something to do with the herb.) We jokingly decided to start a website called stonerfilms.com. That of course never happened because we really had no technology to do so...but now, well you know the story.

So a big cheers to technology and of course the stoners that enjoy it!

The Stony Awards

The Stony Awards (a.k.a. the Stonys) - sponsored by High Times magazine - celebrate the highest and stoniest movies and TV shows of the year. The Stonys began as an annual article in High Times magazine conceived by Senior Editor Steve Bloom. Editor-in-Chief Steven Hager then suggested they hold an event in New York and invite the public to attend. Three Stony Awards were held in New York City. In 2007, the Stonys were moved to Los Angeles.
